Single-flange crane wheel (K1R)
Single-flange crane wheels (wheel К1R) have one side ledge (a flange). They are usually used for bridge crane trolleys and suspended crane trolley traveling on monorail, as well as for ground-based cranes that move along double-track single-level paths, of a width not exceeding 4 m, or when each side of the crane moves simultaneously along two rails. In the latter case it is obligatory to have opposite flanges of the wheel on dual rails.
Rim width of a supported crane wheel should exceed the rail head width – exclusive of flange – by at least 30 mm.
